I just fixed my buds machine...same exact issue. My research pointed towards the rectifier. Sure enough 2 wires were unplugged from it. I'd check that first, make sure all wires are plugged in and make good contact...make sure no wires are broken, etc. If you happen to need a rectifier...cheapest place I found is "Ricks motorsports electrics".

my neighbor did it for me, .25 or .30 cant remember what he said. Where is the rectifier?

It's part #35 under the "electrical/tailight" schematic.

You'll need to pull the front rack and front cover...it's down and to the right under the cover.

all the wires look like they are connected at the rectifier.

I just found a 2 hole plug hanging off the left headlight wire, i unwrapped the electrical tape and there was a red and a brown wire not plugged into anything. do these need to be plugged into the end piece hanging by the headlight wire?
