I'm going to try the John Deere seal kit (MIA10654). Only $15 so no big loss if it doesn't work. I can't find any info on whether it will work on an ADC unit or not, but hey it's worth a shot.

Default Found my problem!

In preparation for the front pinion seal parts getting here tomorrow, I tore into my front gearcase today and found something pretty interesting if not dissappointing.

It appears that some of the sealant Popo used to seal the ADC coil wires into the assembly plate got wrapped up into the seal lip and was causing the leak. A case of sloppy workmanship there and I'm not at all impressed. They used too much sealant or were careless with it. Check out the pics.

I'll probably put it back together and see if it still leaks before I replace anything. There is a possibility that the strip of sealant rubbed the seal to cause permanent damage to it, but it looks okay to the naked eye.

Well, it's back together (minus the chunks of RTV) and so far no leak with a few trips around the block. At least I'll have the seal kit on hand just in case...

Ill bet you can get that seal from the parts house, if you can get it out without destroying it, it also looks the same as the older ones so I'll bet the john deer one will work.
