Tall it is I think.
Every time I go out I have about two miles of road work to do at around 40mph which is begining to sting as winter approaches.
I prefer the look of the smoked but as mentioned may hinder my view. I do a fair amount of riding off track in the woods, often at dusk, so it's probably a tall clear shield.

I've got both for my ride. Midsize/tinted is too dark at dusk or wearing sunglasses and when riding slow, the top trim is exactly where I want to look on the trail. I use the tall/clear in winter but its downside is that wind swirls up and behind the windshield with snow (winter) & dust (summer). My vote goes to the tall/clear.
