Default Synthetic Rope

I was wondering what is the best Synthetic Rope I bought this one here in the link. all I used it to lift my plow up and down dam rope broke 3 time it was brand new.

And rope is not rubbing on anything. I was looking at getting one off ebay called amsteel I want to know is that a better rope.

My plow rope is from Masterpull...It's like a 12' piece....My main line I use all year is Amsteel and that's a 50' piece....When you use synthetice you have to be 100% sure that you fairlead is free of any burs...Most guys use a polished aluminum hawse fairlead for synthetic...

Amsteel is really good. For plowing I use a 12' piece of 1/4" I got off ebay. As long as you have a good aluminum hawse it should never break. Also, if you have access to a couple of extra plow springs I zip-tied two of them to the eye on the plow frame and connected the other end to the cable. That way when you won't get too much tension when raising it, especially when lifting to the frame.

Are you winching it in to far causing it to snap? If so... STOP DOING THAT! LOL

Yep, get the right kind of fairlead for the synthetic rope. The aluminum Hawse is good... the UHMW Hawse is even better. I would go with Amsteel rope.

Amsteel did have a bad reputation over here and for about 7 or 8 years no one will use it. However, I have some ordered in Canada and my wife will be bringing it home after Christmas so only time will tell. Plasma 12 is the market leader over here.

It's a shame no one yet makes a stainless fairlead as they are by far the best. Even alluminium can wear away after hard use.

I was so excited when i first got my winch, I purposely stuck my 08 touring just so I could try out the winch. But since then, I haven't had the chance to use it.
