Angry Transmission chain problems

I have a 2001 Polaris 500 scrambler 2x4 it appears the transmission chain has stretched and it is so long it rides so high on the gear it slips teeth. Is that what normally wears out in the transmission. I see signs the chain has slightly rubbed the case, but all the gears look like there’re in good shape shift fork, and forward and reverse gear and bearings all are in good shape. Are there any specifications on the chain length? Or has anyone had similar issues? Thanks

From my experiences I just change out the chain if I have to split the cases

I replaced it and it works Great so if you hear a quick chatter, and it hardly pull itself it might very well be the chain like mine.

Default trans

That transmission is gear to gear in reverse. The trans silent chain is only for forward gear only.
