2002 Polaris Sportsman 700 Twin. 3 headlight MOD
#1
I have a 2002 700 Sportsman, and I am trying to hook all 3 lights to run at once. I ordered the cheap relay/hookup off of ebay, and every since my battery light has been flashing. Is there something that I've done wrong? I checked all of my wires and nothing is grounding. Will the 02 stater push that kind of power? Any help would be great

Battery light flashing usually means that you are in a state of discharge on the battery. I know mine will sometimes come on if I am running lights, winch and hand warmers at the same time. I had the 3 light conversion on my rig and it didn't flash. I wonder if the "cheap" relay is the issue??

How old is the battery? If it is getting weak that could be your problem. Any battery store will check it for free. If that's not it then check voltage while running-no lights, running-normal lights, and running-all 3 lights. If there is a lot of variation then you probably either have a problem with the mod or stator going bad(worst case). Running all 3 should not drain that much if you are driving because the rpm's will help keep a good charge.
