heat warning light???

i was told sending unit is open till about to 200 degrees an then it closes to complete ground side of circuit,..then it opens at bout 190 to open circuit...i think...gonna get a good look at how to du up a gauge tomarrow...

well went to orilleys auto,..got a manual gauge for 19 bucks,..mounted in on handle bar for time being,..gauge had 2 fittings to use,the smaller one fits in the head where the warning light senser was,...took awhile to get it up to 185 degrees,..fan came on run till its down to 180...did clean a ton of mud outta the radiator fens....but good to go!!!!

next im gonna rewire the warning light to come on when the fan is on....then figure out that 3head light mod....

That's great to know that it's easy (seemingly) to put a temp gauge on there. I did happen to stumble across a company that actually makes a tach, speedo, temp, trip/odo, and other stuff all in one digital display package. Check out Trail Tech's Vapor, Vector, or Endurance it looks like a pretty good setup and I'm working on talking myself into ordering either the Vapor or Vector...
