How do I set the Compression

Default How do I set the Compression

How is going guys I need help fast .I want to know how to set the compression on a Polaris 2001 250 trail blazer. I looked at it and could not figure it out .The guy I got it off of sayed it was at 90 some thing pounds and it will not start . so I am asking you for your help

I would say it's due for a new top end. No real 'adjustment' for compression.

I'm guessing your talking about engine compression.You can't set the compression on an engine. it's not a setting it's controlled by the piston clearance and a few other factors.
If your engine only has 90PSI your going to have to rebuild the top end to get the compression back.

Rhea, make sure your timing / valve adjustment is correct and then check cranking compression.

Guess your guys are right time to rebuild it and thanks for the help .YOU guys have saved me a ton of time

Looking at my reply, I guess I should say there is an adjustment. Just not a **** or valve you can turn. Milling the head, different bore, different type of piston, etc... can vary the overall compression.

But in your case, low compression means new top end.
