Default New Polaris 500, couple questions

Hey all. I just bought a new 2008 holdover 500 Touring. I took it out for a ride today and afterwards I was looking it over and noticed a few things. It's my first ATV so I'm not sure if these things are normal or not.

There's a rubber tube sticking out from the engine down through the underside, and also a rusted pipe.

I've enclosed a couple pictures. I'd appreciate any info so I can get anything fixed under warranty if it needs fixing.

Weird, the pics worked last night and I can't seem to get them to work today. I'll have to try and host them somewhere else.
