I have a 97 Trail Boss 250 with a GPS mounted to the handlebars. Top speed varies on different surfaces and wind direction but usually falls somewhere between 49 and 51 mph.

I've had my 98' 700 triple scrambler up tp 75-80 before i chickened out . . . . . . . . . that'll happen when your pushing almost double the power of a renegade . You're looking at probably a 55mph top speed.

comparing a sled triple to an atv double is like comparing an 1800cc 4cyl waverunner to a golf kart

I could only get my honda 300fw up to maybe 40, and the AC 400 rental to just over 41 on a flat dirt road...

The gps is good, but thanks. I frequently ride with a Yamaha Kodiak 400 and although I get taken from the line, I am able to pass it a little ways down the road.
