lawnboy2121, my dad sold his 09 550XP and bout a new '11 850XP EPS and loves it, i have good relationship with my dealer and been around the first year 09 850 and they had some problems, so far from what i can see with our new '11 all the bugs are worked out and runs great.
bout it in late April and so far no oil in air box at 300 miles.
gas mileage is good 21+ on the trail, thats great for an 850.
the front diff is different because it has ADC 4-wheel engine breaking, my '10 550 has 1200 miles and no problems with its ADC.

go buy one and you'll be happy you did,its an awesome ride the best ride money can buy!!!

My '09 XP850 was a great machine. No problems at all except for a few little kinks that got fixed under warranty. Go buy one. Great engine and they are super smooth. No comparison IMO to the rest of the big bore pack. Mileage? Can't remember, but you should be more concerned about actual trip range. An 850 sucks gas, but not as much as you'd think and it depends on how hard you ride it. Very sweet engine. Oh yeah, almost forgot that I had EPS Wouldn't buy another machine without it. About as nice a ATV as you could ask for IMO.

Nobody "knows" anything until the dealer show. If you can stomach a few more weeks without an ATV, the '12s will be out in like August I think. Can't imagine there's any radical changes coming to the XP line, but who knows. Might get a real sweet deal on an '11 now.

There will be little in common between your old machine and a new 850. Smokin' fast...

Dealer meetings were what I liked going to the best!! GOOD FOOD and plenty of it,plus in the old days Polaris would go all out, great accommodations, entertainment.etc! Plus got to see whats new.(had to keep the dealers happy so they would order "big"!
Tech update schools completely different thing! Boring classes, high school "cafeteria" type food, cheap motels, and seemed like I was always the "OLDEST fart there! OPT

I would like to know also if the new XPs still have the weaker pastic roller cage, or the better/ stronger metal John Dear roller cage.
