07 polaris hawkeye

Default 07 polaris hawkeye

How difficult is the engine clutch chamge over do I have to remove the transmission form the engine to get the cover off then replace the engine clutch never did this before or is there a shortcut thanks Billy

Welcome the the forum!! NOT quite under standing exactly what you want to do?? If you are trying to get to the clutches,you have to pull the big metal clutch cover off. PLEASE explain what you are trying to do so we can be of help?? OPT

Default 07 pol hawkeye engine clutch

I ahve tore down the whole rear-end but cant get the little yoke off the front driveshaft to remove the trans so I can replace the engine clutch behind the primary clutch belt drive

If you are talking about the "prop shaft" (shaft from the transmission to the front gear case), at the front of the yoke is a "roll pin" or spring pin as its called that has to be driven out,then the shaft can be pushed Back off the gear case towards the transmission Then if you have to,slide the prop shaft forward to remove from the transmission,IF this is the shaft you are describing! To re install slide on the tranny end first then pull forward and line up hole on yoke with hole in front gear case shaft and re install pin OR a new one if old pin is too damaged! If you are talking about the FRONT drive shafts,they just pull out from the front gear case! P.S. May take a little force,a hammer and a DULL chisel to persuade the prop shaft to move rearward on the transmission splines! OPT
