I ride alone a majority of the time because like others say it's hard to find company. As said, ride smart is first and foremost. If it looks like a spot is a little too muddy or if you can't tell for sure how deep a snowdrift is, then just don't do it. Trails here in KS aren't really "deep" so if you got stranded it wouldn't be that long of a walk.

That's a good question. I don't ride alone anymore but I used to ride 50-75 miles by myself. Most of the trails are a loop so I would have to walk half that far if I broke down. I used to carry a spare CVT belt and the tools to change it. I haven't blown a belt in several years and quit carrying one. The only "survival equipment" I carry is a lighter which I used to make a fire when I ran out of gas. Luckily I wasn't alone that time.

I almost never ride alone. That little part of my brain that is suppose to tell me not to do stupid stuff doesnt work that well.

I ride alone most of the time. Winter time, what little trails we hsve left are for sleds only. Summertime, I put tons of miles on. Going to gsther up some 'incase' stuff tjis winter now that. I hsve storage.

I ride alone - mostly by choice - sometimes by necessity - but if you'e prepared for anticipated situations it USUALLY works out in your favor. 75-80 miles in the terrain in the pic is enough for me.
