Sportsman stuck in reverse

If you've eliminated the linkage,shift box and can't force the gear case lever into neutral then it's possible you have internal problems that have to be checked out. This is normally a stout gear case,but if run low on oil under heavy loads anything could have happened from a damaged internal silent chain,gears or shift fork,etc. Keep us updated as to what you find. Thank you Sir. I will keep you informed on my progress. I pulled the linkage off the lever that I believe puts it in low and it doesn't move either. Is this just because it is still in reverse.

Yes the first shift arm with the short linkage is low range. The one at the rear is the RNH shift arm.You might try to move the low range arm while also trying the back one and see if it might pop back into neutral from reverse. Worth a try..

Default Fixed it

Your last advise worked. Turns out, I was trying to force the wrong shift arm the whole time. Thank you for your help.
