Just read my new Dirt Trax magazine and they think someday the RZR XP 900 engine will find its way into an atv like the sportsman xp, wouldn't that be sweet or what. I hop Polaris stays on the gas and keep making the XP line stronger and better.

Does any one ells think the 900 engine will find its way into the atv's. I bet will see it in the full size ranger line for 2012.

 

it wouldn't suprise me if they do put the 900 in the xp to help win some of the camam bussiness back.

 

I think they'll end up doing whatever they think will sell in abundance, to a point. They can already take the 850 motor and have it make atleast twice the power with a cam, piston, head, crank, fuel injection, connecting rod, etc. etc. etc. change. Any one of those could be changed to create more power and speed than most would believe that motor is capable of now. While anywhere from 700cc up is an incredibly powerful motor as it is now, with some minor mods(either from the factory or aftermarket) any of them could be too much for the average atver. BUT as your typical man, I would like to ride an AWD atv with the power of a HIGH end snowmobile, or an 1800cc cruiser motor But for most folks, we as an atv community are at the upper end of power we will probably see for a while in an atv. Unless some sort of loophole is found in the liability of the atv companies, less they end up like Honda back when they were THE 3-wheeler company(before all the trouble started).
