I have a new stator in my sportsman ho 500 (2006) and have replaced regulator also new battery. I get 24 ac on all 3 wires from stator but only get 9.5 to 10.5 volts at the battery.
Any help would be appreciated.

Probably the old ecm control module problem?? Did you replace the ecm module under the recall?? Regulator?? Talking about the H.O carb model or efi? OPT

 

It has a carb, yes the ecm was replaced.

The ecm module controls the charging and the fan operation as its main function.Could be another ecm problem if the stator and battery were replaced?? OPT
