Default Bad whine in rear end of 2004 HO

I got into the mud rather deep and when I checked my fluids in the front end and transmission they were both full of a greyish liquid. I have drained both front Diff and transmission twice now and it still looks pretty bad. I have a bad wine that seems to be comming from the transmission. The tranny is only supposed to have roughly a quart of oil in it and I removed about 2 quarts. It sounds like it is locked in 4WD. But the 4WD light is not on and I don't think it is in 4WD.
Should I flush it out with Varsor and then refill with the proper fluid? Has anyone else experienced this whine after getting water and mud in the tranny or front end?
I think the water and mud got in through my vent lines since there is no oil leaking out of seals.
Any help would be appreciated.

I would not recommend using any wine in your diff cases- but if you must, I’d use red wine- white wine might make it run “funny”…

yes. You need to drain & flush out the diffs to make sure every drop of water is out, then use whatever proper lube the factory calls for.

If varsor? is similar to plain old kerosene then go for it! May take a few times, plus the whine is probably mud and grit in the bearings and gears. Worst case scenario is to take it apart and clean! It ain't a fun job,but may be necessary if you can't get all the crap out! OPT

Hey Beer Gut. I don't think the problem was with wine in the tranny but could of been the wine in the operator. LOL
