.. Back then MX'ers were in the 99 db range... as 4 strokes took over that same 99db was heard farther away... Now the AMA is in the 93 db range and tracks are not closing as quick.. Yes they do..

I got a apples and oranges story of my own..
My KTM 400 checks about 91db... I ride a lot with my sons and their friends..most ride 2 strokes in the 97-100 db range... I can sneak up on and pass any of them in the woods.. they tell me they never even knew I was there until I go by..
