Check your tank vent line for bubbling out gas? Could be smelling gas fumes from the front especially if tank is completely full. Plus check the air box for gas. Just a start. OPT

Ditto, Mine does drip a little gas down on the frame when the tank is completely full but not noticeable once the level begins to drop. Although it's not a problem for me, I always thought the check valves were supposed to stop gas from escaping and just let air in to equalize pressure inside the tank? Or are my check valves bad?

Check the gas cap. I get leakage from around the cap. I pulled the the side cover and found the wet spot from there.

I had the same issue - turned out to be both of the fittings on the bottom of the gas tank (that the hoses connect to) were weeping. When I tried to tighten them a little, they were screwed in as far as they could be (tapered pipe thread). I drained the tank, removed them, cleaned everything up, put some {plumbers} wicking on the threads as well as a little sealant. Screwed them in until they were just snug and let things cure for a couple of days. No more raw gas smell!
