I also installed the tape style handwarmers on my quad. They came prewired with a round toggle switch with Hi, Lo, and off. I got them on eBay for about $30 with shipping if I remember right. I also got a thumbwarmer that's pretty much the same idea. This kit came with a metal toggle switch. Not as nice as the round plastic one, but it does the job. The thumbwarmer gets too hot to touch without gloves. Last February or March we were up in NH and it was 18 degrees out. Hands kept toasty warm.

I run heated grips and handlebar mitts. Can ride with very thin gloves and still stay very warm.

My handwarmer switch was installed in my headlight pod. My 2000 sp500 does not have knockouts in the pod, so I cut out a square for the switch.

That's another reason I like the round switches. Just get the right sized drill bit and it's a nice clean hole in the headlight pod.

I forgot to mention we got a set of Cycle Country heated handgrips for my son's Renegade. The switch for those goes on the handlebar. The switch looks kind of cheesy but they've been working well for about a year now.
