i have a 550xp and put a snorkle on it some time back. i just bought an 850 and brainstorming on a snorkle for it. what are some thoughts on tieing the air intake and belt intake together and just runing 2 pipes? one for air( airbox and belt) and one for belt exhuast. it has a k&n air filter in it.

my thoughts...if i run 1 1/2" out of air box and belt would an 1 1/2" pipe be adaquate where the air starts to come in?? or would it need to be bigger? like 2" or 3"?

can i use 1" from airbox and or belt for the intake? would that be enough air flow?

I wouldn't tie the two together because the belt moves a lot of air. I would be afraid that the belt would take air away from the motor. I have a stealth kit on my 850 and it has 4 1.5 inch tubes. Two for the air intake and one for the belt intake and exhaust.

 

yeah im thinking not enough air flow. im just testing the waters i will prolly run 3 like i did on my 550.

i pick up the 850 this saturday! cant wait
