Does Polaris take care of their customers?

No they don't take care of there customers. I wrote them a letter three weeks ago, and I just got a letter back today. It was a "Sorry we apologize" letter and that was it. no "what can we do to make us better?" or anything like that.
And no I wasn't trying to get something for my whining either. Just a good explination as to why their dealer network is so f'ed up, and why they can't get a part to the dealer in a reasonable amount of time.
Hell, I never even got a "Thank you for spending 5 grand on a polaris" letter. No PRO magazine, Not even a sticker.

Sabot,
Sometimes the dealers don't know about the promotions until the day they come out. Usually the promos aren't entirely free so you may have paid a little more for your machine if the promo was in effect (to cover the cost). Did you get the other promo: free rack extenders or bumpers. You wouldn't have been able to get those and the winch together. It all comes out the same in the end.

I'm gonna agree with most of the posts. It all depends on how nice your dealer is. I agree with dodgeram01, how far SHOULD they go back, most dealers are happy is they get the money and then if you have a proboblem they'll fix it for more money, cause you still have to pay for labor. I wouldn't get your hopes up. You never know though...

I don't think this is exceptable from a company as large as Polaris. I missed the winch deal by less than a week BUT Polaris can't e-mail me back in less than a week?
EBS is available on a new sp400 only if it has 0000 miles. I got screwed out of that tooo.
2000lb.winch $449.99
Engine Brakeing Kit(EBS) $399.75
I feel like I got RIPPED
Polaris makes a great wheeler BUT??????

You did not miss a thing on the EBS deal as far as I am concerned. I would have traded it no cost with you if I still had it... :-) I had to take my dealer service manager out to lunch in order to have an exchange for a regular one but it was worth every penny! :-) The EBS simply slows you down and makes it harder on the strap because it is starting in a higher gear than the regular clutch. I experienced both, believe me, the standard clutch is way better and much more tuneable... I very rarely have to go to the LOW mode since then ;-)
