One thing that I wanted to mention is that my dad picked up the transmission fluid from a Polaris dealer. They told him that they use the same stuff now and didn't carry a specific hub fluid. I will be checking a different Polaris dealer today and will be taking the quad apart tomorrow. Will post results.

They just didn't have the right fluid in stock! The bottle will either will say Demand drive fluid or Demand drive Plus hub fluid(the newer version) which either one is for both the outer hub awd system OR the centralized awd system. Don't put AGL (automatic gear case lubricant) in the hubs if that's what they sold your dad!! OPT

My "Cylmer" manual does mention you can use ATF type "F" but I never ever tried it since a one bottle of the Polaris stuff can refill the hubs many times and only cost like $10.
