i bought a 2000 polaris 500 and when i bought it the drive belt had been replaced by dealer and now it wont go into any gear

 

Sounds like the buttons on the clutch might be bad.

 

How many miles on the bike?

 

If it's creeping in gear or hard to get in gear you may need to align clutches. If it wont shift into gear usually it's because belt is hitting the side of front clutch instead of the one way bearing causing rear clutch to turn. You might try to turn idle down first and see if it helps with shifting. OPT

 

Shortly after I first got mine, I found that I had to consiously ensure that I had removed all pressure off the throttle as I was just bringing up the RPM's enough to prevent a clean shift.

How do you press the throttle and shift at the same time man. Aren't they both on the same side of the bike? Make sure the choke is fully in.

 

only 1100 bike wont move at all except when turned off u can roll it

 

Can you put in gear or is the gearbox locked up?? OPT

 

the bike will operate in low range fine but when pu in high range or reverse its like its in neutral it does nothing

 

Check the linkage arm (belcrank) on the transmission if you don't have high or reverse, could be the aluminum belcrank is stripped or loose on the transmission shaft and just turns. OPT
