Default Winch Problem 2011 sportsman

When I press the in button on my handlebar mount my winch goes out and vice versa. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Just switch the two main wires on the winch motor. Problem solved.

Switch the wires on the winch motor as mentioned. If it still works in reverse then you may have a faulty commutator or switch. OPT

Is your cable wound up on the top of the drum or the bottom? You can let it out all the way and wind it back in the opposite way so it goes the direction of the switch.
