I had a hard time getting mine out as well. I read about somone making a tool to pull the CV cup out using a slide hammer. I gathered pieces that I could find and made the tool for free. Just need to know how to weld or know someone who does, be able to drill and tap or know someone who does, and have access to pipe or know someone who does. I didn't know how to do any of the above, but knew people who did. Tried it out last night and the cup came out with about six pulls from the slide hammer. It was awesome. Send me your email address and I'll send you some pictures and dimensions of the tool.

I'll post pictures here later for others to see. For some reason I can't figure out how to do it from my phone.

BTW, I just used a loaner slide hammer from AutoZone with the homemade tool. So....

thanks a million for that offer but i came home from work today and gently put pressure on it and had my buddy hit it with a three pound hammer and it starts coming out slowly i was happier then crap after six days of this crap ive never had anything so tough to come out so my advise would be just be patience and keep at it and itll come i thought this was very very hopeless lol

Dimensions: center hole is 11/16", slide hammer rod thickness is 5/8", bolts are 5/16"-18 thread and about 1 1/2" long, pipe is 4" scheule 160 (optimum pipe size would have been 3 1/2" scheule 80 I believe, but all you need is something with an ID of at least 3 5/16", mine was roughly 3 7/16", the closer the better IMO), top plate was either 3/16" or 1/4", not sure what my buddy used here.

Good tool! You should try to make a few up and sell em! Still have a home made rear axle nut remover for all the chain driven Polaris models(Scramblers,Trail Boss,Trail Blazers,etc) that I bought from a guy that just wandered into the shop one day. 3' long pipe with a socket welded on one end and 1/2" adapter welded on the other for an impact gun. Snap to remove frozen nuts off without damage and impact em back on. He sold several to area shops. OPT
