My fuel guage on the instrument cluster will flash repeatily and then go completely away. I took out the gas tank to see if something was unplugged or ??? I reseated the plugs going to the tank plus and to the instrument cluster. What did I miss?

Try the simple stuff first. Battery connections tight, battery in good shape(fairly new or old?) has 14 volts charging back to battery while running. OPT

Bought the battery last year. Measured 13.8 volts while running. Checked to see if any wires have been shorting out against anything by moving them while running. The blinking of the fuel guage just comes and goes. My main concern is, will the bike continue to run in this condition? I don't need a fuel guage. I fill up after I return to the truck at ever trip..
