I bought new 12v 4 amp battery for starting Preda..30seconds after connecting battery stator trowed white smoke in the air..Fuse didnt blow but batterys plus connector melted!!??..battery connectors were right and batt was brand new.....Whatta h****l now happened

 

If you're positive the connections to the battery were right then sounds like you have a job now tracing down wires starting with the stator into the wiring harness for any shorts. Plus was it running before you installed the new battery? Was the stator an oem or a generic after market? Could be the problem?Wiring harness is about 80 bucks if it comes down to that.If I remember correctly didn't you just replace a cdi module that was burnt? Could have been the stator going out that caused this? Just thinking out loud again.. OPT
