HPD Adjustable Shocks
#1
I heard a lot of good things about the HPD adjustable shocks but i was wondering what they mean by " Some Machining Required " to install these ? If it's no big deal i might order them soon otherwise i'll just get the cheeper fox non-adjustable replacements for the front only.

It should say, "lots of machining required", as in build them yourself. I dont know how soon you thought you would be trying to order them? I've been asking for a pair since April! No not asking my wife, asking Darrell.
According to HPD "Fox doesn't want to sell them to us anymore, we're trying to work something out by the end of fall."
So I called Fox..."no we wont make a pair just for you, you'll have to wait untill Darrel orders some more, or find somebody else to make 'em for you."
I love companies that are customer orientated! Anyway, you could be waiting a long, long time to get any from HPD. If you need new struts that bad, get the replacements from Hot Seat. They dont compare the the adjustables, but are a worthwhile alternative.
I've given up on getting any from HPD. I think you'd see a complete aftermarket chassis with dual A-arms out by the time Darrell gets any in. I'm saving for that and a pair of Ohlins!! Obviously Darrell doesn't want my money

Ah Jerry they aint that involved in installing the clicker shocks. If you look at the inside bottom of the stut mount you will notice a slot from bottom to top. All you do is make this slot wider. I used a grinder, stuck it in there, ground up one side, then up the other side, ground the edges alittle to neaten it up and was done. You grind the slot wider so the reseviour braided hose will fit in it.

I know, I did'nt mean to mislead anybody on the instalation process.
I was just venting, because I can't get some myself. Just a bit of sarcasim directed toward HPD, and how difficult it will be to get them in the first place.

I am sad to hear this. I really wanted to try and get 2 new front shocks for my scrambler for christmas. That really snorts and I hope they end up making some cause my stocks shocks have just about had it. Also I wanted the get the best if I was going to go to the trouble.
