It seems to me the "new scrambler" is a sportsman with the fenders trimmed a bit. I would have liked to have seen the 850 put in something very similar to the previous scrambler and with power steering and IRS. That's more of what I was hoping to see when I heard there was a new scrambler with something besides a 500 in it. With that being said, there are a lot of options and upgrades that can be done to them already apparently. But by the time you do all that too it you could have bought a sportsman with the majority of those upgrades already done to it.... Just my

Not real impressed with the 850 scrambler either. Just a stripped down sp850 xp in my opinion. I feel about the same way towards the can-am renegade vs an outlander.

I think the Sportsman 850 would be better for what you plan on doing.

i'm guessing they think the 850 will destroy the lighter frame so lets make it a lighter sportsman. as always, polaris is letting everyone down.

My thought is it's a shot at the Can-Am Renegade. Should be right in between the Renegade 800 and Renegade 1000 speed-wise. We'll see.

well if you think about it. your payin 15k for a can-am compared to a polaris sportsman or the scrambler which is 10 or 11k. n its as fast. i say that if they wanted a true 4x4 to outperfrom can-am they did it. i jumped my scrambler with the stock fox shock and stock front strutts. n i learned one thing 4x4 atv are not ment for doing big jumps. i liked the enduro n turning on my older scrambler was garbage even trying to whip the rear around. so needless to say the 01 scrambler was a tank but it couldnt do what i wanted which was go through mud pits n climb certain trees the new design i can keep my sporty look n do what i want.

I'm trying to understand the abbreviations and quote above. Is what you are saying is that you owned a '01 Scrambler and now you own a '13 Scrambler?

I also never heard anyone ask them to double the price. The whole reason I bought a Scrambler was because I could have fun without breaking the bank. Guess you can't do that anymore.
