i am going saturday to buy a new 500 ho and i was wandering if anyone knew any info on the 700 /like when is it going to be out.i dont want to buy the ho and in 2 weeks a 700 comes out.what should i do?

 

I would say it depends on if you have to have the biggest there is, the HO is plenty powerfull from what i have heard and seen, i am one who has to have the biggest there is, but that cost me most of last summer waiting for a raptor until i just said forget it and got a grizzly

 

I was talking to a dealer the other day and he said the 2002 models come out in June if that helps you any.

 

The 700 is still a rumor as far as I know. I would buy what you want now, it is hard to say when or if there will be a 700. Now unless you guys have heard other? It is still a rumor.

What price are you paying for your Sportsman? I am looking at $6395, no setup or freight charges. The down side they are giving me squat for my E-ton trade in.

 

i believe the reason that we havent seen the sp700 yet is because the kawie650 is delayed. if they released the sp700 now, the only competition would be the HO.

im sure right after the kawie650 is out we will se the sp700, polaris doesnt want to be in second place in the utility market.

i have heard the kawie 650 will be out around in mid-april. but it keeps changing.

im sure that the sp700 is for real.

im sure that the engine that is in the polaris four-stroke sled is the one for the sp700.

the engineeres said that they used that unique design to keep the engine compact. Hummmmmm, sleds have a huge engine bay so they dont need a compact engine, BUT a quad does. it looked like a perfect fit for the sportsman.

if polaris doesent come out with the sp700 soon after the kawie650 is out, then the HO's sales will go down, and polaris doesent want that.

I am a new subscriber to this site, so I chose this topic to get my feet wet. Unless my local dealers have thier head in the sand, I have heard nothing of this new quad. I know one of my local dealers well enough to have seen the 2002 booklet way before anyone else, and still have heard nothing. If it is true, way cool, if not, it should be. I bought my 99 500 Sportsman knowing nothing of the H.O. to come, so I can understand your hesitance.
