Sorry, went to sleep early Wouldn't have made much difference on the one size jetting increase if it did run good before on the 325 engine. You can always just drop the clip on the needle to allow a little more fuel at mid range.IF you removed the blocking plug over the pilot adjustment screw(fuel/air screw) count how many turns to a lightly seated position the factory setting is. If LESS than two turns,go ahead and turn out to 2 turns. To really fine tune a carb at idle it's best to have a carb tool or a small screwdriver that the you can adjust the screw to get the best idle. Hey OPT, any thoughts on jetting if you put a 330 carb on the old 325?

I bought one, then sold the quad to a nephew. Now that they've wrecked it, again, might be a good time to get it back and in better shape than it was.

Just browsing through the parts breakdown on the different carbs on the 325 and 330 (example 2001 325 and 2003 330) The main and pilot jets went down on the 330 carb. From a 142.5 main on the 325 to a 122.5 main on the 330? Don't really know if they opened up the fuel mixture on the 330 versus the 325,plus didn't check if the needle jet and jet needle were different, plus I didn't cross check anything else? Carbs I believe are the same? OPT

As far as cosmetically, they looked the same. I think this was off an 04 and I thought they bumped up the size just a notch. Talked with the nephew. Seems my other nephew (his brother) decided to work on it. Not even gonna mess with the rats nest he'll make of it.

So, anyone needs a carb...

I was really happy with the stage 1 kit I got from RCR. I had thought about the 414 kit for a while, then opted not to get it.

By the time I paid for the kit, and the initial cost of the quad it would be a big loss when I went to sell it. I could get a used kfx or trx 400 for a good price and be happy with that. The wife told me to buy a brand new one.

this is true, they did go to 122.5 or something like that, and if a 2000 boss 325 was built before 3/1/99 they have the 142.5 jet and any 2000 boss made after was equipped with a 145 jet...mine has the 145

anyways ill be picking up the thoroughly cleaned "ultrasonically" they tell me carb(with a bad o ring they said needed replaced) here shortly, i got the shed heating up now as its exactly zero degrees here at the moment lol, ill let yall know how it goes! btw, i pulled the carb myself and took it in yesterday and they called me at 9am saying its ready with a new o ring, total cost for cleaning n o ring is about $60...and they said if i brought my clutch in by itself they will do the buttons for $40(not includeing the price of the buttons, which are cheap anyways}...do these figures seem normal? high or low/good? i could do this stuff myself if i needed but the price seems right and quick turnover..how say u!? lol

Labor rates are around 75 bucks an hour or more here now. I'd be surprised if they didn't charge for less than an hour here.

OPT would have the best answer on this.

yeah my next step is rcr stage 1, and prob future mods due to my "disability" this quad fits me perfect so it will be around till it dies, no real plan to resell lol(although i might pick up a 500 scrammy to add to the toybox if the price is right)...hell although i really like polaris and the auto trans, if i could, id be clutching a bigger more aggressive quad
