Thank God I don't live that close to him. I probably would have had a badass trail boss, but lost it in the divorce.

 

He also did motor work on my wife's trailblazer. She told me not to make it faster.

I didn't, but it's a whole lot quicker now.

 

lol, quicker is much better than faster all day haha....i love the low end and contril the boss gives me...ill be completely happy with it when i have it to point i can rip some 100+ yard wheelies with that heavy sucker

 

Prices don't sound bad at all,sounds like you have a reasonable shop. About 3/4 hr on the carb and 1/2 hr on the clutch. This is normally what we charged on bring ins for these,but our labor was higher at $85 and hour. The rate hasn't changed since I retired,but a couple area shops around us have gone up to $95 and hour! A marine dealer close to us charges $150 an hour to work on outboard or inboard boat engines. Think I was in the wrong business. OPT

 

i can see the mississippi from my house, ive owned boats...marine hourly rates are OUTRAGEOUS! i figured that was a decent labor rate plus the quick turn around....

so on to the finished product....i got er all back together, added a fuel filter before the pump btw, she started right up and sounded different and ran like a champ, been ridin for the last hour(cooooold!!) this boss will break the tires loose on demand! thanx guys for your replies, much appreciated
