Default info needed for 92 trailboss

I have a 99 warrior 350 and im looking for a 4wd quad. Well i found a guy.on craigslist that would trade me a 92 trailboss 350 4x4 with a plow nd winch this will be my first 4x4 quad i was always a sport quad type of person. Is there anything i should look for and are they good quads is it worth the trade?. I have friends that have sportsman 500's and i like them.

Either sell the Warrior out right, then get a later model Sportsman 500 if you want a Polaris. No way I'd trade for a 92 350 two stroke! This was a good engine in it's day (and still is) but it's even more complicated and costly than a lot of four strokes when the engine needs work, not counting the three chains, housings, bearings that have to be kept up. Could end up being a 21 year old money pit. I know,I've rebuilt enough of em over the years. OPT

Hows the reliability of the quad? Are they good quads? I know its old but the whole.quad has just been rebuilt and very low miles/hours. I actually just looked up the.value of.both quads and they are rigjt about.the same value.

Knowing what I do I would still stay with a four stroke and shaft drive, not a two stroke and chains! Others I know will come along and give you their opinion as everyone has one, just like noses they say OPT
