Default Help identify year of polaris trailblazer

I bought an old trailblazer and can't find vin anywhere on frame. It has the rear brake disc up close to the pedal so based on what I read it us '98 or older. On the pull Starter cover is a sticker with EC250PFE1546502. Any idea on what yr it is? I think is needs top end rebuilt as it has lots of blue smoke when I start it

Look on the right hand frame down tube should be an etched serial number on one side.Should have a W96,W97,etc on the other. This is the year model. The newer models have a 17 digit number etched behind the front left a-arm.If you find a # see if this helps. http://www.purepolaris.com/en-us/Ran...earch-VIN.aspx It may not on the older ones.

most normally the 10th digit is the year. but as OPT stated, you have to have the 17 digit alpha-numeric VIN to see what it is.

I can't find anything on the frame down tube, assuming that is what the gear shift linkage is connected to. The transmission case has 240002 raises numbers on it. Any other ideas?

wow, that's where mine was located, but towards the front. about where my right foot would be while riding. although the stamp was faint on mine, kinda hard to see. wow, i don't know what to tell ya then. i finally found mine when i put a shop light on it and then i saw how faint the etched stamp was in the black paint. sorry i couldn't help out. here's a pic of mine.
