Default anyone else out there looking for worklight plugs and switches?

so i whent to the dealership today and bought the taillights w/worklights in them for my 2013 550 sportsman. they come with the bulbs for the taillights and works lights. but im gona change them from fillament bulbs to leds anyways. but i wanted to use the factory sealed worklight socket. taillight sockets have not changed. but the dealer dont sell just the plug and wire harness for the worklights. have to buy a few $100 wireharness just to use 2 plugs and a few feet of wire. so i did some searching on the net and after a few hrs i found the factory sealed plugs. so im gona buy a set. wanted to know if anyone else out there looking to do this as the more plugs i buy the cheaper it will be. ill probly end up selling some on ebay as a kit anyways.

i also wanted to add like my 2008 sp 500 auto on in rev/off/all the time on worklight feature. but in 2009 i bought 2 extra harnd warmer switchs that have 2 postions for my 2008. but the dealer dont carry them anymore. so im gona order a few that arent labeld but are the same switch..... in between work and free time im gona document this. seems alot are doing this to new sportsmans and it is a great feature to have... so ill do a wright up from front to back...

Pm me your eBay name. Would like to do some mods on my 07 500&800. I would rather buy them fabbed up then to search and do myself. Call me lazy but I enjoy doing other things and I know guys like chuck really enjoy making them. Hell if you lived close I'd now your lawn and weed eat. Call me crazy but that gets me to my happy place.

I've actually been soaking up all the info I can on my Wheelhorse 520H. Got it last year. Its a 96 with a 20 horse onan. What a beast.

Back to topic at hand let .e know what you got setup.

I swapped my rear lights for the older style that have the worklights. For the socket for the actual worklight bulb, I found one at an auto store that was nearly a perfect fit. The only difference was the number of locking tabs. I believe the lens assembly uses a 2-tab socket and what I found was a 4-tab socket. After about 10 seconds of rework with a side cutters, I converted them to 2-tab sockets.

Anyway, take the taillight assy to your parts store and see if you can't find one that will fit (or nearly fit).

i wanted to use oem stuff. this way i can use the worklight socket and stuff. i got my plugs so they plug right into the oem worklight socket. i have the pins and sealed relays as well. i didnt want to use unsealed relays. evon tho my 08 and 13 sportsmans hardly ever see rain/water. but i did use my 08 to plow snow. and a sealed relay is just one issue i dont have to worry about if it happens to get wet so it dont corrode and cause issues and i think its something else and 2hrs later figure out it just the relay. so now when i get some time im gona work up the kit and take pictures. taillights you will need to get on your own tho... but if you want to i can make it up so you can wire it up to your own lights.....
