Chris.P,Please go to 99 Sportsman in the forums and see the problems I've had with my Sportsman.Though I personally beleive the Sportsman to be a reliable 4x4,The way Polaris Ignored my problem and the way the dealership handled it,I'll never again deal with any Polaris product nor do I recommend Polaris products.

Out of arctic cat and polaris I would porbably pick the AC. But I don't think I would get either of them in the 300cc size. HONDA has the most reliable best selling atv in its class 300 4x4. I love mine! No problems at all.

I would recommend the Honda as well in the 300 class. The Bayou 300 also. Either is built tough. I wouldn't get either if speed was on my mind though. They are just really dependable and are good in the all-around category. If I didn't mind an automatic without engine braking, I would go for the Kawasaki Prairie 300 hands down over any other 300. Other than a lack of EBS, it has the all around advantage over the rest of the pack. I personally wouldn't get an automatic without ebs for my needs. After riding the Magnum 325, I found that it rode and handled well, but vibrated like an electric shaver. This would be enough for me to cross it off the list. I personally don't like the King Quad or the Arctic Cat 300's because of the rear mounted engine and light front end. Yamaha no longer has a 300 class utility(the wolverine doesn't count) so they seem out of the picture. The 335 Sportsman weighs too much. This is why I choose the Fourtrax or Bayou 300s. Not because of who makes them. I own an Arctic Cat 500, but I don't recommend the 300 model.

Remember the old saying "no wing, no prayer" yea right. Yamaha and Polaris make the best quads. The only good thing Honda ever made was the 250R, Then the idiots discontinued it. I personaly believe Big Red pays all the mags big bucks because my stock Blaster was better than a 300EX and it is still better than a tricked out 400.
