Starter solenoid wire?
#1
I have a 1995 scrambler that I have rebuilt from the ground up. Strange thing is the wiring was a mess. Thee solenoid has a red wire and a blue and white wire on it. Is that blue and white supposed to go all the way to the front for the temp light? Not sure.

Here's a pdf link to all 95 models with wiring schematics. Should help you on what goes where. Looking at the schematic the blue/white does go to the temp sensor on the engine, red wire to the solenoid. Index of /ORV Manuals/Polaris/1985-1995 - All Models

Thank you for that info. That has some great info in it. I didn't see a blue and white wire in the schematic. Could it be a add on that someone did? They had the small red wire spliced to it for some reason. I may just buy a new solenoid.

Look close down at the left corner of the schematic. Blue/white goes to the sensor, then to one side of the hot light..When the sensor/switch closes, the blue/ white wire provides the ground path for the hot light to kick on..
