Hi all, I have a 1993 350L 4x4,
when I hit the button for 4x4 only my front right wheel is driving, the front left is free wheeling,
from a quick look all u-joints are in tact , I`m just looking for a place to start looking to find the problem before I tare the front end apart.
Thanks

First thing is change the front hub fluids. If that does not work your going to have to get in the non turning bub and look for a problem.
Here is a vid to show you the inside workings and parts.

ok now the saga continues...I believe I found my problems....first one the hubs were damn near dry yes both of them...on both sides the set screw was stripped, and I had to weld a nut onto them to get them out (yes I removed the plastic cap off the front first)....I noticed on the non working side the magnetic coil wires were broken, so I ordered a new coil...the question I have now is what oil do I put in...I have Full Synthetic 75 w 90 gear oil...is that good to use?
I am hoping to have the new coil later this week and would like to have everything to button this up here and ready to go...Off subject I have done a on of work to this thin the last week...compression was only 90, do I bored the head and new piston now compression is 125...ordered new reeds, obviously new coil, plugs for the hub, all new needles and seats for the carb. and just some misc stuff that the machine needed, only explaining this so you know im not looking for a short cut, I need the 75W-90 for my jet ski jet drives, and it would be nice if I was able to use the same oil.
Thanks again

Nope, use the 75/90 in your jet ski,but use only Polaris Demand Drive hub fluid for the front hubs. Sounds like you need a good service manual. Here's a pdf service manual that can show you step by step on a lot of service and repairs.Index of /ORV Manuals/Polaris/1985-1995 - All Models
