Mud and snow is about lug height for traction a taller lug just bites into soft ground harder.
I like radials on my car but the slow rough sloppy 30 mph ATVs trails we have here do not require expensive radials with a shorter lug.
My Zillas and XLs will have 0.75" lugs soon enough after I put a few thousand miles on them.
If I was into higher speed packed gravel road riding I,d would of look into radials defiantly .
The Bighorn 2.0 look to be the bang for the buck camps right now.
Bighorn2.0 and the original more expensive Bighorns are two different tires.
Just like MudZillas and Zillas, Maxxis just likes to keep in confusing I guess.
