Default Clips for plastic on 2000 sp 500

I'm trying to find the little metal spring clips that help hold the plastic hood in place. One's gone and the other is in bad shape. I've looked around the net but no luck. Even one would do the trick to keep it from flopping around when riding. I'll bet there's a place to pick these up somewhere, new or used.

They probably don't have them but I would try an auto supply store.

If you get tired of replacing these spring clips which always fall out, plus don't hold the panel tight, you can do as many of our customers did and push the panel up, install one small phillip head screw on each panel at the seam down past the front rack to where it wasn't visible.Easy to remove if you need to get into the electrical, check coolant, etc.

That thought did cross my mind, but was going to just JB weld the clips in there and hope for the best. Now you got me thinking. They want $1.30 for the clips and $13 to ship them. Screws are lookin pretty good.
