03 Polaris Trailblazer won't start
#1
Hi Everyone just thought I would say this is a great forum! I have used it to get my son's chinese four wheeler running and everyone seems so helpful. I have looked through here for ideas on my four wheeler but haven't seen anything specific to my issue.
I have a Polaris Trailblazer and while mudding on it Christmas Day the thumb throttle went loose, the engine started knocking, and it died. I assumed that I fouled out a spark plug bought a replacement today and it won't fire.
I looked into the cable issue the cable will retract and pull the thumb switch back out if you pull the end of the cable by the oiler. With the carburetor cap off the the switch works properly but when replaced it won't work. Any suggestions?

Check for grit in the carb bore and also wear marks on the carb side itself. Could be the problem of the hanging up on the split throttle cable.Sounds like you need to do a compression check also if you hear knocking noises from the engine.

I removed the carb and and in the process found that the boot from the carb to the air box had a crack in it allowing dirt in. I cleaned and replaced everything and she's is running like a dream once again. Thanks, for your help.
