I put the new cam in tonight. Set my valves, drained all my oil (reservoir/sump), ran a magnet through everything I could to remove shavings. Primed the pump and started it. Let it run, unclamped my hose and heard it suck air like it should. Took it for its first drive (bought this thing non-running) I have to say I was super impressed. Time to dress it back up now with all the plastics and shrouds.

Thanks again for everyone's help. I would have been dead in the dark for quite some time before I would have thought to check the exhaust lobe. I bought this one to flip and make a profit.....but I think I'll sell the Honda instead

 

Post this in the Honda section also. Plus change your oil and filter after 20-25 hrs. Hopefully any shavings missed will be in the filter.
