Default 04 Sportsman 500 front end

My 04 is starting to eat the middle of the right front tire. (not eat its gone) Any thoughts on why this would happen? The left side is wearing fine but the r/s is shot and showing signs of cuts in the tire in the middle. I'm not sure if its the toe in/out or not. I would love to go back to the Rawhides that were on it but I cant find them and the Carlisle's that are on it now are decent. Let me know. Thanks

Jack it up and see if any excessive play in the a-arm,ball joints or tie rod ends. Even worn strut cartridges /springs can affect tire wear. Easiest way to align the toe out is with a straight wood or metal stud. Have someone hold the bars straight while you have the stud against the rear tire and you can tell if toe out or in is needed. Here's one guy's method.

Default Polaris xplorer front shocks

I have a polaris xplorer 400 I bought a couple weeks ago. Its a great machine. Just the front shocks our shot. I ordered some new ones off ebay. I was trying to find out if it is possible too replace them without removing front rack and fender. Any tips would be helpful

Yes you can,but you need to leave the a-arm hooked up to the ball joint, have the strut assy lowered on a wood block, etc and swing the strut assy out at the top without pulling the drive shaft out of the cv joint. Air tools make fairly easy work of this. If you don't have em, it's tougher.
