I am looking to but a used Polaris Sportsman 6x6 1998 with 700 miles on it... Does anyone have any knowledge of these machines and what to look out for? I also would like to know what the dimensions are from axle to axle so I know how big of a trailer I would need.

Overall a good machine,rough riding,but if you need to haul heavy loads can do a good job. Sold quite a few to the old farmers down here. Has chains to keep adjusted and lubed along with a bunch of grease fittings. Middle axle brake caliper support brackets were prone to breaking under heavy use and moved around a bit if they did.
