cv boot replacement

1 Damn boot and clamps cost $20!!!

$20 is nothing. Wait until you here how much it would cost to have the dealer do it.

Well,
I might be looking that bill right in the eye. I unbolted the right rear hub assembly from the A-arms, and now I'm stuck. From what I can see, it looks like the CV joint and housing have to disconnect from the main trans case. I'm not sure, though. I tried to get it apart, but I didn't want to pry on it too hard. Thats all I need; more money spent to replace the whole thing. Anyhow, if there's anyone who has pulled the CV joint from the trans housing, or if there is another way to get the joint apart( I have no clue), please let me know. I got a run coming up, and I really don't want to take it to a mechanic.

i ripped a boot onmy wolverine and the dealer replaced it for 175!! it is expensive. My dad nade me pay for it
