Yes all my ATV Connection buddies! I went on my first ride in the mud today. Last ride was somewhere near Oct or Nov.

They are building a new road about 1 1/2 miles long next to my house. It is all mud with some sandy spots. I finally got to open the Scrambler up and hit some puddles too. I had not realized how much I actually missed my quad this winter during the rebuild. It took about 3 seconds and I was covered from head to toe in glorious mud! (Can you tell I am happy? Wife thinks I am nuts!)

LONG LIVE MUD AND MODS!!!!!

Did you walk into the house covered, or did she turn the gardenhose on you outside????
The weather's warmed up down here, I've been wearing shorts and boat shoes to work this last week. I'm hoping to get to ride this weekend to try and get the jetting spot on.

Actually Capt...she came outside and saw me hosing myself down! I had spent months shining, waxing, polishing and pampering this machine. I go for a 20 minute ride and it loks like it used to last summer! She just looked at me and said: "You look kind of dirty"...then walked back in the house! (she doesn't get it I guess)

One thing I definately noticed...I can "really" tell that I have no mud flaps or floorboards. Yuck!

Your surprised, by how muddy you get now? I knew it from the moment I saw the pictures. Just teasing but that is the number 1 reason I did not do what you did with the floorboards to pegs. I hope it doesn`t effect your vision too much by constantly throwing mud on your goggles.

Most people don`t understand our infatuation with mud, do they. I`m 34 and still love to play in it. If I show people I work with pictures they shake their heads in amazement and ask why. If you have to ask...

As for the wife she complains that if it takes 3 to 4 hours to clean after every ride why go in the mud, go around.

It is nice to come back from a ride occasionally and not have to clean but the rides weren`t too fun either.

Enjoy the spring thaw !!!

EasterEgg, I have a back-up plan for the mud. I can just pop the mudflaps back on and zip-tie them at the bottom to the nerfs. But I have not tasted mud in months and it was a blast! It's like a smoker who hasn't lit up in two months...what a buzz!!

Only another mud-freak can understand this fascination with "dirty water" that a lot of us have...LOL I went waterskipping with the Ski-Doo yesterday over our usual spring/summer mudholes. Very fun!!!
