Default polaris trail boss 250

piston needs replaced . We have off the rod and trying to figure out if it is stock bore or not . It has a 5w stamped in it . Have not had a caliper on it yet . What size is stock and any advice on how far oversize we can go ?
Not trying to go fast , just another 4 wheeler to get around on .

Thank you for your help

72mm (2.8346) is the stock bore. The 5w designates a stock Polaris piston. My opinion I'd go with a Wiseco forged piston kit. First over on Wiseco (.50 mm-.020) should be sufficient in most cases to clean up the stock bore.Wiseco goes up to 2 mm over stock bore.A few other brands offer increments of .25mm (.010) at a time if you go with something other than Wiseco.
