Quick question is that a magnet on the outside of the flywheel for the pick up coil (pulsar coil)? cause mine is not magnetic.

Good question.. The magnets are internal for the stator itself, but the raised portion outside of the flywheel for systems with external pick up coils actually breaks the "connection" so to speak and triggers a pulse to the cdi. Here's probably a better description that I can give on this and how this system works..

"Some stators include a pulser or pickup coil. This small coil is mounted separately to the motor or to a mounting plate, allowing it to sense the crank angle via one or more small bumps on the outside of the flywheel. The coil must be placed between 0.02 and 0.50 mm away from the highest part of this bump or "trigger". The input from this coil is sent to the ignition computer (CDI), where the spark timing is calculated. Some CDIs are powered with AC power from a specific coil, called a source coil, which is wound with fine wire. Other CDIs may be powered by DC current produced by a stator, regulator/rectifier, and battery combination. The current from the CDI is sent to the ignition coil and magnified to over 10,000 volts. It is then sent to the spark plug."

I know I have taken that cover off and greased the area under the cover. there was almost no grease in mine. Helped to loosen up the shifting a little.

OK i get how the pickup coil works, i worked on it again today i moved the pick up coil closer but im getting a orange/blue spark and the ohms on the pickup coil between w/r and w wires is 47 ohms could this be a bad pickup coil?

Ohms resistance should show around 97 ohms. Think you found the problem as long as the rest of the stator checks out ok.You can find them for as little as $29 on ebay, but you have to solder the wires to the pick up itself or places like here that you can tie into the existing connector.
