Default Which is better? new to sportsmans

Hi guys I used to ride quite a while ago and have always been into powersports. I have been thinking more and more about getting a fourwheeler and I have been debating between a honda or polaris. I will be using it on my property of 25 acres to do some work and also trail riding up north, and some plowing in the winter.

I am torn because I currently snowmobile a lot and have three polaris sleds, but I also dirtbike and have always had honda dirtbikes. Right now I am leaning towards getting a sportsman.

I found these two quads and was wondering what you guys think about them. Each seems to have a little bit of a problem but the price makes up for it. Which do you think is better?

2004 polaris sportsman 700 efi

What do you guys think?

if you need the plow you could get the 06'. I'm guessing what is going on with it not gong into reverse is the ebs bushing in the primary clutch is making it creep which is putting pressure on the tranny not letting it shift. not too bad to fix if the bushing or fiber washers are bad, but does require special tools to fix. the o4' if it has been rolled over no telling if it has frame damage or not and usually a broken speedo means no awd and the speedo is about $350. to replace and you need it depending in what broke to make the awd work. just my .02

Perfect thank you. Looking at the pictures I doubt there is frame damage, I bet maybe the screen is just cracked? How long of a job to pull the clutch apart? I am pretty mechanically inclined, I rebuilt my crf450r and do all my own vehicle maintenance

Involves a clutch puller and spider tool to disassemble the front clutch. As mentioned creeping is usually because of fiber washer and brass washer wear on the one way bearing in the front clutch along with aligning clutches. Rear clutch is a simple pull off,not that hard to replace rollers if needed. Here's some good posts on ebs clutch repair from a couple members. 2002 500 Sportsman belt alignment - ATVConnection.com ATV Enthusiast Community
